Cheer Information

JaxPAL Cheer has both sideline and competitive cheer. Our Cheer Program is open to girls and boys ages 4 through 15. Your cheerleader must be 4 by July 31, 2024. Cheer practice and home games will be held at our Monument location located at 3450 Monument Road Jacksonville, FL 32225.

JaxPAL is affiliated with the North Florida Youth Cheer Conference. There are approximately 20 organizations that participate in this conference. Participating counties include Clay, Callahan, Fernandina Beach, Hastings, West Augustine, St. Johns, Hilliard and Baker, just to name a few. Parents are responsible for getting your child to and from games. Parents are unable to leave the park unless there is an emergency and you have notified your coach and Officer Williams.

Practices will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8 pm. It is necessary that each participant attends 80% of practices in order to decrease injury. When your cheerleader is absent, it affects the entire squad. They are unable to practice stunts, pyramids, formations, and dances. Excessive tardies and absences will result in your child being removed from the program. There will be no refunds once uniform orders are placed.

Early registration is $250 and closes March 27th. Included is a uniform shell and skirt, jamboree uniform, bow, poms, bloomers and socks. After March 27th, registration will be $300 until June 17th. All white shoes must be worn during games. There is an additional uniform package for those that are competing to include a midriff, competition bow and tracksuit. The price for this package is $200. We will begin a fundraiser in June and all proceeds will go towards the competition items. The $200.00 for the competition package is due by August 5, 2024.

It is expected that each family will donate at least two hours per season to assist with concessions at home games. If there are enough volunteers, you will be relieved of your duties. All money raised during concessions goes towards our cheer program. The funds assist with competition fees, travel, and etc.

JaxPAL participates in two cheer competitions. NFYCC’s competition is usually held mid-October and State PAL holds competition early December. It is not mandatory for cheerleaders to participate in competitive cheer. The practice dates and times are subject to change as competitions grow near.

If you are interested in volunteering as a coach or team parent, you must complete a volunteer application and have a background check completed through the City of Jacksonville (page 2 of application). If you are a continuing coach, you must complete a continuation form. You must have a state of Florida issued driver's license or ID. Please fill out application and return to Sunnie Williams at sunnie.williams@jaxsheriff.org. Please remember all positions are volunteer based, and if unable to follow JaxPal’s Policy and Procedures, this may not be the organization for you.
